SEPTEMBER FEST - 2007
PARTICIPATING PILOTS: Steve Tuttle, Kevin Morris, Marc Brodeur, Darrel Long, Joe Moroney, Todd Monahan, Bob Martel, Andrew Avon, Dave Brien, & Vince Galet.
Friday Evening - Bob Martel attempted some tethering, while Steve set up the "fun-balloon" for the kids, but the winds picked up and made it difficult. Plans for an evening moon glow were also scrapped, as it began to drizzle slightly at dusk.
Saturday Morning - Unfortunately the winds refused to settle - as the occasional gusts made it not possible to fly. Later on that afternoon Steve once again attempted the "fun-balloon" but the winds were still uncooperative.
Saturday Evening - Winds were still too gusty for a flight - but everyone set up in the field for a while of "Meet and Greet". After dinner the winds died out, and we were able to hold a very successful moon glow! This was certainly a BIG crowd pleaser!
Sunday Morning - Well, all the waiting finally paid-off, and we had one of the BEST morning conditions for flying! Light winds from the East took out towards some of the best landing zones in the area.
