JUNE FEST - 2007
PARTICIPATING PILOTS: Steve Tuttle, Roger Hooper, Jonathan Blackburn, Kevin Morris, BJ Sullivan, Don Palen & Bill Volk.
Friday Evening - Weather was looking a little "iffy" with winds gusting at the surface - but Steve and BJ were able to at least inflate for a little while to get the weekend started. Adults & Children alike were out in the field excited to see the balloons.
Saturday Morning - Conditions were perfect this morning - and some of the balloons were able to catch a small box-wind. A gentle North wind initially was able to take us out over the Copake Rec Park - and then across a beautiful fresh corn field.
Saturday Evening - Winds were once again a little blustery this evening, but two balloons were able to launch and make a short hop. Later-on, as the gusts died down, Roger inflated and offered tether rides for children of all ages!
Sunday Morning - Conditions were once again ideal this morning, with variable gentle breezes. Some balloons stayed low - and had a nice flight to the South, while others went up to 2000-2500 ft and caught a nice ride to the North.
